Block Poster is designed to be private by default. This page explains exactly what data we do and do not collect when you use the site.
Overview
We do not require an account, we do not store your images, and we do not sell data to anyone. The site runs entirely in your browser. The only information we collect is aggregate, anonymous usage analytics described below.
Your Images Stay on Your Device
Every image you upload to Block Poster is processed 100% locally using the HTML5 Canvas API and pdf-lib. Your files are never uploaded to a server, never transmitted over the internet, and never seen by us or any third party. Closing the browser tab removes them from memory.
Analytics
We use two privacy-respecting analytics tools — Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics — to understand aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are visited, from which countries, on which devices). No personally identifying information is collected, and no analytics data can be tied back to a specific user or a specific image.
Cookies
Block Poster does not set any tracking cookies. The analytics tools listed above may set a single first-party cookie for session deduplication. You can block these cookies in your browser settings without any loss of functionality on this site.
Third-Party Services
The only third-party requests made from Block Poster are to the analytics providers above and to content delivery networks that serve our fonts and sample illustrations. None of these requests include your uploaded images or any personal data.
